TUESDAY: In your Composition notebook, divide a a page into fourths. At top of the page write "MILITARY STRATEGY" Then label each box: Russia, USA, Britain, and Germany. In the Germany and Britain box, place themes that apply to that country's military strategy in WW2. (This will be added too.)

1. What was the risk for Hitler to invade Poland?
2. How did the Treaty of Versailles and the West fail to keep Hitler from gaining power?

4. What was the importance of the Nazi Soviet Pact? How did Hitler and Stalin benefit from the pact?
Email when complete.
Wednesday and Thursday - Using the information from the last few weeks, put together a timeline of major events that led the world on the path to WW2. Timeline must begin from 1910 and end at 1939. Timeline can be created in any software of your choosing. List at least 10 events. In addition, for each event, give a brief description in summary form in a separate document. It's important to see events in order to understand the many different aspects that led to WW2.
All assignments due by end of day Thursday. If you finish early - yay!
Test next week on the causes of WW2. You will have Monday and Tuesday to study during class. Test will be Wednesday, November 15, 2017.

Monday - In text, read Chapter 31, section 1. Define the following vocab terms: sanctions, appeasement. Answer questions, 3 a, b 4, and 5, in section assessment of page 774. Email when complete.

Answer the following questions.
1. What was the risk for Hitler to invade Poland?
2. How did the Treaty of Versailles and the West fail to keep Hitler from gaining power?
3. Why did Hitler believe that Neville Chamberlain, of Great Britian, was not a threat?
4. What was the importance of the Nazi Soviet Pact? How did Hitler and Stalin benefit from the pact?
Email when complete.
Wednesday and Thursday - Using the information from the last few weeks, put together a timeline of major events that led the world on the path to WW2. Timeline must begin from 1910 and end at 1939. Timeline can be created in any software of your choosing. List at least 10 events. In addition, for each event, give a brief description in summary form in a separate document. It's important to see events in order to understand the many different aspects that led to WW2.
All assignments due by end of day Thursday. If you finish early - yay!
Test next week on the causes of WW2. You will have Monday and Tuesday to study during class. Test will be Wednesday, November 15, 2017.
